Or at least, this is one half of it. Nancy Riegelman is amazing and this book has been really helpful. But if you want to focus on working on actual figure drawing and proportions then her other book, 9 Heads will be more useful.
This book covers using markers in fashion illustration. And even if markers aren't your medium, it does cover colour theory and illustration techniques. It also has a range of illustrations from big brands such as Dior and Gaultier to smaller, less well known designers and talks about what techniques were used in each illustration. My one critique is that it would be more helpful if she included more croquis in the appendix. But as I said, this book is for markers in fashion illustration rather than figure drawing.
9 Heads would be more suited if you want to draw your own figures rather than base it off a croquis template. By Cheryl Wong.
