Now, that's with tax and shipping included!

XoticPC had a comparable 980m model for 1680$ before tax/levy and shipping that I would have to pay. Even buying locally without the shipping it would still be slightly more due to tax. The only downside is that I didn't get Witcher 3 bundle, but instead they added an xbox 360 controller for free.

It's meant to transfer heat from the m.2 drive and dump it onto the chassis. You could check if there's sufficient contact between the material and the chassis when closed. Regarding the tape, I had an HP laptop that ran way hotter than the 650SG which also used similar adhesives to secure wires and had no problem with them for 3 years. But hey, it's your rig, if you're concerned with the possibility of long term problems you can always replace them. Bought the Hansung i3 4000M laptop for 500k Won at G Market. Decision up to this model came as. Intel cpu ->2 cores enough for me ->chose between 3110M, 3120M, 4000M ->I like to have a 15.6' size screen, don't care much about the TN? ->Hansung had a cheap 4000M model and two RAM slots (DDR3L), 4 USB slots, 2 kg weight, and it's the new Haswell. The main HDD slot is a bit weird because on the top of the HDD circuit board there is a clear plastic sheet fixed with two screws and on top of this sheet there are two strips of double sticky foam for shake protection? On the other side of the HDD, again, there are also two strips to match the 2.5mm to 3.5 height? There are also yet another two strips on the encasing for shake protection. 3xosc Dubstep Presets.

So you will have to gently peel off the strips from the metal side of the HDD, and re-stick it on the SSD top. You can re-screw the plastic sheet on the circuit board side to the SSD. But we all know that most SSDs come in 2.5mm height, and a plastic height adjuster brim that is HOLLOW in the middle, and the encasing foam strips are in the MIDDLE. Placing the encasing foam strips at the SSD border might have prevented people from re-sticking the two strips on the SSD top? This might cause hotter SSD due to air flow issues? Or a better design solution expected from the company?.Or just stuff newspapers in the spacings. ^^ The 2nd bay was a tight 2.5mm fit, so not much problem there.
