Hi, this problem has been breaking my brain for some time. I have Win 7 Pro x64 installed on a separate boot drive and have built a RAID 5 array on a LSI SAS 9261-8i to store my data.

The raid controller is fine, always loads, reports no problem with the driver and the data array is always there following boot. I check the array with Directory Opus and all the folders and files are just fine. The problem occurs when I try to perform file operations such as copy, move, or expand a zip fie, and most everything else. The array will have completely disappeared from windows and won't be back until I re-boot. Even so, LSI's MegaRAID Storage Manager program still shows the 9261-8i controller as optimal!

There's just no array anymore! All my firmware and drivers are current. My windows installation is recent. I have tried the controller in different slots, removed the battery and nothing changes.
